Salt protocall for migraine:
Next pre migraine or full: test sodium by putting a couple granuals of salt under your tongue and waiting 15 minutes, then repeat a few more times.
take note of the subtle shifts: pain , brain fog, aura, other sensory sensativity..
By placing it under your tongue it has the balility to be absorbed in to the blood stream and then directed to the brain quickly.
Most migraine ffolks fall into 2 categories with electrolytes: 1/1 ratio of sodium to potassium or 2/1 sodium to potassium. This might be the missing link with your swelling response. gettign the ratio right. there should not be a swellign once you deiscover which one is best for you.
Migraine folks are gernerally muscularly dehydrated. Becasue their bodies use up the salt so quickly. The muscles don’t get their share. Once correctec what can happen is a slight swellign for a couple of days . once the proper amoutn of sodium in on board fort he brain, it trickles down to the muscle. if they hav ebeen dehydrated. The there will be a phase of flushig of the muscles.. essentiall they will have the right amount of water and sodium on board to funtion properly. and then balance out.
Experiment with LMNT or other sodium based electrolyte: you start out and exoeriment add one packet to a litre of water. and then try drinkin a bit of it. see how you feel. let is float around in your mouth to be absorbed ..
Migraines are produced froma biologically differnet brain. These brains evolved for survival in the biggest sence, these genetics help support the sirvival of our communitues and the species as a whole. The brains of those with migraines are hypervilligent and aware through all heir sences. Which is why different things can be a trigger perfume, or chemicals bright lights etc. So because, of this the areas of the brain that preceive our environment, aka the areas dedicated to processign information from our sesory organs had more nuerons, and more dendrites. AKA extra power ful brain capacity. But thi means they requires more power, which they get from sodium. When we go through an interaction sensory that flags this system, they use up what extra sodium there is.

One really neat way to back track is to note when you have the yawning response in the body. that is complusive and wide mouthed and one where you feel like you cannot control it and it may be one where you make a loud sound as well. this is remanants from somthign called a threat response which we can still see in chimpanzees. Where when there is danger , the will open their mouth wide to show their teeth. when you catch yoru self doign this its an indicator of needing salt if you catch your self in this phase, you can prevent amigraine from happening.
